After debating usage of Wordpress vs. a static site generator (Hugo), I’ve finally settled on using hugo. The initial process was rocky since I struggled to understand how the static site generation actually worked. As I’ve often noticed, a nebulous mist covered the knowledge that I needed in order to go forward with my project. Luckily, perserverance prevailed and the mist cleared after taking my time to watch a tutorial without 2x-speed.
In the future I hope to populate this page with new posts and interesting Today I learned-posts (TIL). I’ve also noticed my English becoming rather rusty and hope to shake said rust off by writing in English. My short-term goal is to implement GitHub Actions to update my webpage on pushes to the main branch. My only experience with GitHub Actions is an automatic deployment of an Azure Function to the Azure Portal, which was done with the onboard-tools of GitHub/Visual Studio. Therefore, I have much to learn about this process and am looking forward to post a TIL about my Learnings.
See you soon! ✌
